Sunday Racing
Our Summer Sunday racing program comprises of a number of series which run the full length of the season to encourage weekly participation. Race briefing is held in the clubroom at 12 noon and racing commences at 1300hours , with on-water starts. Two to three races are calendared for the afternoon and typically we are off the water around 1630hours. All are welcome to join in the comraderie of the club and rehash the afternoon of sailing in the clubroom afterwards.
The Winter Sunday racing program is held every second Sunday between June and the end of August. Briefing @ 1000hours and racing commences @ 1100hours with an anticipated finish time of 1400hours followed by a warm, hearty lunch in the clubroom.
Our regular racing program does not compete on Public Holiday weekends nor over the Christmas break to enable families to enjoy the chance to compete in various regattas held around Australia including at our Club.
We encourage our Learn To Sail participants to join the afternoon racing with on-water support and supervision. This is a great way to develop confidence and to consolidate and build new skills with new-found friends.
Our fleet usually consists of, but are not limited to, the following classes:
Division 1: Catamarans, Arrows
Division 2: Lasers, Pacers, 125s
Division 3: Windsurfers
Division 4: Minnows, Optis, Zooms
