Who are we 

We are thrilled to introduce you to our progressive and community-oriented sailing club nestled along the picturesque longbeach shores of Port Phillip Bay in the City of Kingston. With a rich history dating back to our establishment in 1945, Parkdale Yacht Club has become a renowned hub for sailing enthusiasts of all levels. From beginners learning the ropes to seasoned competitors achieving remarkable feats, our club caters to a diverse range of sailors who have a passion for sailing.

At Parkdale Yacht Club we take great pride in our commitment to grassroots involvement and the promotion of sailing and windsurfing within our members and the wider community. Our aim is to continue our committment to grassroots sailing, providing opportunities for individuals to connect, learn and have fun in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Our long standing rich history of sailing comes from a variety of classes these include; Minnows, Lasers, Pacers, 125s, Catamarans and the exciting resurgence of the Windsurfer class with the new LT boards. The diverse range of classes ensures that our members have the opportunity to explore and engage in a variety of thrilling experiences on the water. 

Our sailing season spans all year round offering ample opportunities for members and guests to participate in our activities. From October to April, Sundays are dedicated to race days where sailors can put their skills to the test and compete against their fellow enthusiasts. Additionally, we host casual Twilight Sailing sessions on Thursdays providing a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for members. For those who wish to embark on their sailing journey our Learn to Sail programs are available on weekends allowing beginners to receive expert instruction and guidance from experienced coaches and sailors.

While our Summer sailing season is the highlight of our calendar, we don't let the fun end when the colder months arrive. Our Winter Series runs from June to August offering a unique opportunity for sailors to continue their passion and stay active during the off-season. This series provides a different experience on the water and fosters a sense of camaraderie among our members proving that sailing is a year-round endeavor at Parkdale Yacht Club.

Throughout our storied history Parkdale Yacht Club has attracted and nurtured exceptional talent, resulting in distinguished sailors who have called our club home. Olympians, World Champions, National Champions and State Champions are proud to call Parkdale Yacht Club their home. Their presence serves as an inspiration for aspiring sailors in our community and reinforces our commitment to excellence and the pursuit of sailing success.

We are excited to announce a special sponsorship opportunity that directly contributes to the growth and development of the next generation of sailors at Parkdale Yacht Club. As part of our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional training programs we are seeking to replace our ageing Minnow class training fleet with six modern Ozi Opti Training Dinghies. To help cover the purchase price of $3000 of each boat, this presents an excellent chance for your organisation to not only achieve significant brand exposure during the sailing season but also support a growing number of young kids in their pursuit of sailing. We have curated two sponsorship packages for you to choose from, both of which offer benefits and opportunities for your organisation.

Sponsorship Packages

We are offering two sponsorship packages:

• Have your logo displayed on both sides of the boat hull and sail (as pictured below) for three years.
• Inclusion of your logo on all PYC social media platforms, website pages and digital newsletters for three years.
• A PYC ‘Learn to Sail’ tear drop banner with your logo placed within easy view from Beach Rd or Parkdale beach walking track whenever the Club is open for sailing activities.
• Receive an invitation to the official launch of the boats including a complimentary Sponsors Luncheon.
• Free PYC Social membership for 3 years for one member of staff.

• Have your logo displayed on one side of the boat hull and sail for three years.
• Inclusion of your logo on all PYC social media platforms, website pages and digital newsletters for three years.
• A PYC ‘Learn to Sail’ tear drop banner with your logo placed within easy view from Beach Rd or Parkdale beach walking track whenever the Club is open for sailing activities.
• Receive an invitation to the official launch of the boats including a complimentary Sponsors Luncheon.
